The clubs listed below are organized and run by Teen Council members and volunteers.

The Summer Reading Program: Hop on board for a summer reading adventure! Participants will earn prizes as they read more books!______________________________________________________________________
Ongoing Clubs:
Do Your Homework @ the Library: held Monday through Thursday at 3:00 to help kids with homework problems and questions. Our volunteers harbor many academic skills in a variety of subjects, and best of all, are completely free!Rocketry Club: This fun and interactive club will teach interested students how to build and launch model rockets and bottle rockets. All materials will be included. This club meets every third Wednesday of the month from 3:00-5:00 pm in the children's area, starting September 2016. All ages are welcome, though the age focus is for elementary and middle school students.
Chess Club/Brain Games: held Mondays at 3:30 and Tuesdays at 3:15. Come join this club to play chess and strategy games.
The Little Writers Program: This group of teens has banned together to teach kids creative and useful techniques for writing short stories, poems, memoirs, and other literary forms. This program is focused for Elementary and Middle School aged children looking to improve and expand their vocabulary and writing techniques. For more information on the club, go to the website link below. Class times are always on Saturdays from 11-12:30 in the Children's Story Corner. The third session for this program has just ended; the fourth session will likely begin in the Spring of 2017.

Other Teen Council Functions:
Our Display Team creates book displays for the glass cabinets along the entry hall and decorates the library for upcoming holidays.Art Club also sets up displays around the library.
The Summer Reading Program is staffed by many Teen Council Members.
